Cookies and Cream Chocolate Bark
White chocolate? YUM. Milk chocolate? YUM. Oreo cookies? YUM.
10 minutes to make this delicious treat. I have nothing more to say about this recipe. Go make it.
Recipe for Cookies and Cream Bark:
Ingredients Needed:
8 oz white chocolate
8 oz milk or semisweet chocolate
1 teaspoon coconut oil divided
15-20 crushed Oreos or similar
Servings Made: one 9X13 tray of bark
Time to Prep: 5 minutes
Time to Make: 5 minutes plus 1 hour to set in fridge or freezer
How to Make:
Melt milk chocolate and 1/2 teaspoon coconut oil in 20-30 second increments in the microwave, mixing well in between until smooth. Pour into a 9x13 baking tray or pan lined with parchment paper.
Spread evenly with a spatula and put about 1/4-1/2 of the crushed Oreos on top. Place in freezer for about 30 minutes or until set.
When set, melt white chocolate and 1/2 teaspoon coconut oil via the same process as before. Pour over top of milk chocolate layer, gently smooth out and top with rest of Oreo cookie pieces. Place in freezer again to set for 1-2 hours.
Make sure your spoons and bowls are completely dry when melting the chocolate layers. You will end up with grainy, not smooth melted chocolate otherwise.
Pro tip - you can wait a few minutes until white chocolate is not so hot before pouring on top of your previous chocolate layer. This will ensure you get two distinct layers vs. the first layer melting into the second. If it does melt all together, not to worry, it will still taste delicious.
Once set, break bark apart by smacking it with a wooden spoon or breaking with hands.
For a festive version of this bark, add some sprinkles on top to match the celebration or holiday!
Enjoy!
