Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings

I came up with this recipe at the request of my husband and it has quickly become a dinnertime favorite. My picky son loves these and could probably eat at least 10 wings in one sitting (he is only 6 years old).

These crisp up so well in the air fryer you won’t even believe they are not deep fried!

Recipe for Air Fryer Lemon Pepper Wings:

Ingredients Needed:

1 ½ lbs chicken wings

3-4 teaspoons lemon pepper seasoning

Olive oil spray

Salt to taste

2 teaspoons flour

Sauce

Zest from 1/4 - 1/2 lemon (you can choose to omit this if you want less tart lemon flavor)

1 teaspoon honey

1 teaspoon butter melted

1 teaspoon lemon pepper seasoning

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Juice from 1/2 lemon

Optional – 1 tablespoon Franks red hot or similar

Servings Made: 2-3 servings

Time to Prep: 5-7 minutes

Time to Cook: 20-25 minutes

How to Make:

Mix flour, salt and lemon pepper seasoning in a medium bowl. Pat wings dry and toss wings in flour mixture to coat.

Place wings in a single layer in a greased air fryer basket and spray tops with olive oil spray. Air fry for 18-20 mins at 400°F. Do not crowd air fryer basket or wings will not cook evenly.

While cooking, whisk all sauce ingredients together. Remove wings from basket when they are almost cooked and toss in prepared sauce. Return wings to air fryer for 3-5 minutes until they are completely cooked through to crisp up. Be careful not to overcook wings at this step.

Serve immediately.
