Teriyaki Wings
Wings wings wings. I love wings. I think I have about 4-5 recipes on this site for different flavors. The best part about these wings is you can marinate them in the same spices as my hot wings, and then just toss half in the teriyaki sauce mixture and the other half in the hot sauce mixture and you end up with two types of wings! Easy peasy!
Recipe for Teriyaki Wings:
Ingredients Needed:
1-1.25 lbs chicken wings (about ten wings)
2-3 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 tablespoon chives
1 tablespoon parsley flakes
Sauce:
1/4 cup thick teriyaki marinade
2 tablespoons soya sauce
1/2 teaspoon butter
Servings Made: 2 servings
Time to Prep: 5-10 minutes
Time to Cook: 30 minutes
How to Make:
Make sure your wings are patted very dry before adding the spices and oil. Store wings in fridge to marinate in the spices and oil for a few hours or overnight. When ready to cook, spray your air fryer basket with some cooking spray or olive oil spray and place wings in basket in a single layer. Make sure there is space in between the wings or they will not crisp as well.
Spray wing tops with olive oil spray and air fry at 400°F for 20-25 minutes, flipping them halfway through cooking and re spraying them if needed. Remove wings and let cool for about ten minutes. Put them back in the air fryer for another 3-5 minutes to allow them to crisp up until they are cooked fully. Watch them carefully so they don’t overcook during this step. This helps them get nice and crispy!
While wings are in the air fryer you can make your sauce. Melt butter, teriyaki and soya sauce together in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave for about 20-30 seconds until warm through and melted well. You can use a hand whisk to combine together.
Once wings are cooked through, toss wings in sauce and serve immediately!
Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions if desired.
Enjoy!
