This fruit duck would be a great activity to make to celebrate Navroz, Easter or Springtime with the family.

I used canned pineapple instead of fresh as I had leftovers from pizza night! (if you aren’t a fan of pineapple on pizza…well then ignore that I did that!).

Pro tip - you can make one large duck to share or make them individual sized as well!

Bonus pro tip - use a variety of fresh vegetables instead of fruit to make the duck! (Yellow, red and orange peppers would work well)

Recipe for Fruit Duck:

Ingredients Needed:

  • A variety of fruits or veggies. Any will do, just ensure they are cut up into your desired size and shape. You can use canned fruit also!

  • Pick fruits that follow the colors of the duck

    • I used pineapple for the body, strawberries, blueberries and carrots for the eyes/beak/hair and feet.

    • You could also use yellow peppers or apples or even mandarins for the duck body.

Servings Made: Varies depending on how much fruit you use.

Time to Prep: 10 minutes

Time to Cook: N/A

How to Make:

Wash and dry your fruit before slicing up to your desired size and shape.

Arrange fruit on serving dish or tray. First, make a circle with the main color for the body. Then place your eyes and beak. For the hair and feet, cut fruit into a triangle and then make two smaller cut out triangles to make the slits.

Have fun and make it your own creation.

Enjoy!
