Fresh Fruit Heart

Fun fact about me. My grandfather used to call me his Fruit Baby. I used to eat so much fruit, he literally couldn’t keep enough in the house.

I love making fruit plates (shape or no shape) especially for snack time! I may also love to add a scoop (or two) of ice cream on top…

This heart shape was something I made for the kids for Valentines Day a few years back and it is really simple to make but looks awesome when done. Watch me make it in high speed.

Recipe for Fruit Heart:

Ingredients Needed:

  • A variety of fresh fruits. Any will do, just ensure they are cut up into slices or smaller sections so you can place them on the heart.

    • I used kiwi, strawberries, blackberries, blueberries and raspberries.

  • Parchment paper or wax paper heart cut out to your desired size.

  • Other toppings/sides if desired - ice cream, chocolate chips, icing sugar etc.

Servings Made: Varies depending on how much fruit you use.

Time to Prep: 10 minutes

Time to Cook: N/A

How to Make:

Wash and dry your fruit before slicing up.

Place your parchment heart shape down on your serving tray or dish.

Arrange fruit around the heart shape to fit using the parchment a a guide. I found placing berries around the edge border made it easier to fill in the middle sections. There is really no right or wrong way to do this! Just have fun :)

Enjoy!
