These kebabs are staples in our home. My son loves having them inside a pita or naan with some cucumber and sour cream inside. I personally like to eat them on top of salad, or on their own dipped in green chutney and tamarind chutney.

Serve these with a side of my masala corn or potatoes for a full meal!

Recipe for Chicken Kebabs:

Ingredients Needed:

16 oz ground chicken (or ground turkey)

1/4 cup bread crumbs

1 egg

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon coriander powder

1 teaspoon Vegeta seasoning (if you don't have this, use 1/2 teaspoon chicken soup mix or 1/4 teaspoon onion powder and 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder instead)

Salt and pepper to taste

1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder

1 tablespoon oil

1/4 onion chopped fine

2 tablespoons fresh cilantro chopped

Cayenne powder to taste

1 teaspoon ginger paste

1 teaspoon garlic paste

Servings Made: 8 kebabs about 2oz each

Time to Prep: 5 minutes

Time to Cook: 10-12 minutes

How to Make:

Mix all ingredients in a large bowl until well combined. Using a wooden spoon, form kebabs around spoon handle, gently pull off and place onto a greased foil lined tray or in greased air fryer basket.

Pro tip - forming the kebabs around the handle of a wooden spoon ensures the kebabs cook evenly and speeds up cooking due to the hole inside the kebab.

Bake at 425°F in oven until cooked through. Use a meat thermometer to check doneness.

If air frying, air fry at 400°F for 10-12 mins and check doneness with a meat thermometer. Make sure to spray air fryer basket with cooking spray and you can also spray kebabs with olive oil spray or brush with oil.

Enjoy!

Pro tip

Serve these with a side of my sour cream dill cucumber dip!
